It’s A Sin is a mini series created by former Dr Who writer Russell T Davies. It follows a group of friends living in London during the 1980’s. The group of friends are largely gay and in their 20’s when a mystery new illness (HIV/Aids) begins to appear in America, shortly followed by London. It’s an incredible series and here are some of the It’s A Sin Filming Locations from around the UK.
The Pink Palace – Filming Location
The Pink Palace, residence of Ritchie, Jill, Ash, Roscoe and Colin. In the series The Pink Palace is located in the heart of London. However, the filming location was Paton Street, Manchester.

Colin’s Trip To New York
While working in Menswear, Colin goes on a trip to New York with his Manager. His trip to New York however, was actually too, Liverpool. The bottom part of Water Street, Liverpool together with some special effects doubled as a 1980’s hustling and bustling New York street.
Eileen Morris-Jones’s Home
Joseph Street, Darwen, England was used for the exterior shots of Mrs Eileen Morris-Jones Home.
Isle of Wight – The Farmers Arms
In episode 4 while on the Isle of Wight Ritchie goes to the local pub, The Farmers Arms.
The Jackson’s Boat, Sale was used as the filming location of The Farmer’s Arms.
Isle of Wight – Drive
Ritchie getting a lift home from Martin on the Isle of Wight. However in fact this was Ffordd Siliwen, Bangor in Wales.
The Protest
It 1988 in episode 4. Margaret Thatcher is Prime Minister and Jill and her friends are protesting in central London. In these shots, the filming location was Le Mans Cres in Bolton.
