Desmond’s starring Norman Beaton who played the main character Desmond Ambrose originally aired in the UK between 1989 and 1994. The sitcom is set are Desmond’s barbershop located in the London Borough of Peckham.
Desmond’s revolved around the interactions and relationships among the diverse group of characters who frequented the barbershop. It was very successful, largely down to its focus on the everyday lives and humour of the characters.
Desmond’s Barbershop Filming Location
The most memorable location used in the sitcom was of course that of Desmond’s Barbers. Whilst all internal scenes were filmed inside a London Studio, external shots of the Desmond’s were filmed at 204 Bellenden Road, Peckham, London.
Over the years the building has accommodated different businesses, including being an actual Barbers back in 2008.
