With Covid-19 rates beginning to increase again, last weekend we decided to visit family. Both for a pre-Christmas visit and in case another lockdown was on anyone’s agenda. We headed down to Carmarthenshire to visit family in the area. Having only decided the day before so we didn’t have much time to plan. We often take the dogs to other places and never usually have issues finding dog-friendly accommodation. However, we really struggled to find dog-friendly accommodation in South Wales.
We initially started looking for hotels. Apart from Travelodge (not a fan), we could not find any hotels nearby that would allow dogs. We didn’t mind a bit of driving. But having already driven the best part of 300 miles to get there; we wanted to limit driving as much as possible.
Dog-Friendly Accommodation Gower South Wales
We were lucky enough to find The Grooms Quarters on Airbnb. An amazing small bedroom little cottage located on the Loughor Estuary. A short drive from Swansea, the Gower, and about 40 minutes from Carmarthen.
The cottage consisted of a bedroom, bathroom, living room (with the sectioned reading area), and kitchen. Being on a farm there was plenty of space for the dogs.
If you are looking for somewhere to stay near the Gower, Swansea, Carmarthen that allows dogs… Give this one a look on Airbnb.
